Peggy Booth is back with more knitted goods

Peggy Booth is a 95-year-old resident at Cedar Court Care, located in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. Our 25 bed home offers dementia, nursing, residential and respite care with 24-hour person-centred care.

Throughout her time at the home, Peggy has expressed her love for knitting and on numerous occasions showcased her talents by lovingly creating knitted bundles. She creates these for team members and residents at Cedar Court as well as for her local community.

Peggy engaged the local community with her knitted hamper filled with a selection of items. It consisted of a teacup set, a small mouse, a plant, a penguin and so much more. She scattered them around the Whittlesey town and created a Facebook competition for everyone to find. We received positive feedback from this competition and the local community thoroughly enjoyed partaking in this.

As we received such a positive outcome from the previous competition, Peggy was eager to create another one. This time, it is for Easter. She has devoted all of her time and efforts to knitting spectacular chicks with eggs in them. Peggy wants to create an Easter competition for school children and gift them for the holidays.
